Just a quick question guys, is the 5.0 litre engine in a 2018 F150 called a Coyote ?

 

Yes, the 5.0 line that replaced the Modular 4.6/5.4L motors is known as the Coyote, whether it be in a Mustang or an F150.

It is called the Coyote because it grows at the competition and howls when other 5.0s are around.

 

And runs and hides when a 3.5EB shows up.

It doesn't count when Mr. Whipple comes along with Mr. Coyote. And you, hush up... your build thread is one of the big reasons I'm fighting the urge to get a 5.0 in the next truck...it's not fiscally responsible of me to be dropping $8K on a Whipple of my own!
