Every time I start up my truck, I hear a short buzzing sound coming from the steering column. It buzzes for a short period of time...maybe 1/4 second or something like that. Is this normal with the electric steering? My 2011 F150 never did this.

The buzzing is coming from fan. Not sure if the buzz is from the fan starting or the blend door moving...

 

Does your truck have the intelligent access? If so it could be the steering wheel lock motor pulling the lock back.
