You might want to consider looking a bit away from where you are. Airline tickets are not that expensive and if it costs $1K to fly there but you get 5K to 7K off the price, new MIGHT be a way to go. Just sayin....

Oh, there IS a Ford dealer 7 miles from my house. I don't do business with them.

Yeah I've been looking within a 150ish miles radius. I don't know if I want to be flying around because I have a trade in! I'm not against traveling I just want to make sure it's not to crazy.

I do understand what you're saying though.

Open up to 210 miles, that is only 3 hours away if you are going to drive. Or you might see what you can sell yours for without involving a dealer.

Actually it is work and you can get more than they will give you on trade. Check out KBB.com for more details.

Good luck and good hunting

I just had to reply again to this with a story the I stumbled on.

I live effectively in San Antonio Texas (actually about 30 miles from downtown) and started looking at getting a F250 this summer. I happened to spot a new one (with paper plates) pulling into the drugstore I was going into. I asked the driver about his new truck and found out he bought it in Florida! He found what he wanted there at a price that fit his budget, so he flew out and bought it and drove it back.

In short the definition of crazy seems to vary from person to person.

I live 7 miles from one Ford dealership but buy from one 40+ miles away. Crazy? Maybe...

Good luck

Wow IMO that’s a great deal and very similar to what I’m looking for. Congratulations!

I bought my 2018 STX extended cab with 12k last week. 4x4 with 5.0 I paid 26,500. Feels like I overpaid, but not by much?

I think you did well. I just overpaid a touch maybe yesterday for 2016 lariat supercab with 65k miles- paid 26k, but dealer gave me $1000 more for my car than it was worth so I figure it evened out a bit. More important to me was getting 90% of what I wanted in the truck. Only thing I didn't get was center counsel, as it has the seat back.
so if you got what you wanted in a vehicle then you did well!
