Default Buying a new truck from..... Costco?

Anyone have any experience buying a new car or truck through Costco? Seems like an easy way to purchase a truck and save some money. Do you get decent prices or would I be better off working a deal on my own?

Thanks!

Posted often. They won't tell you price until you talk to dealer, and you may have to drive a bit.

X-Plan is better and everyone takes it.

We used them....the price is usually 500-1000 below invoice but there is no haggling. If you have a trade they will try to get you on that but just push back on that. We were pretty pleased using the Costco program twice over the past 10 years..

Looked into costco before I ordered my 2018. Wasn't that good of deal. Just saves haggling but won't be as big as savings as you can get.

X-plan will be Costco almost every time. I found Costco to be a waste of time, and beat X-plan on my own.

I initially started with Costco, but eventually did much better on my own. Not including Ford's rebates I went from about a 6.9% dealer discount to 10.8%. I also lucked out at that point because it went from just at 4K or 4,2K to 6K in rebates in the 2-3 months I spent looking too. I saved quite a bit of money and got a more of the options I was looking for in the end.

Costco was definitely better than paying sticker, but it wasn't really different than initial offers I got from a lot of different dealers. I cast a wide net

Looks like you have to work for a Ford partner company? Or is there another way to get x-plan pricing?

Thanks!

I tried the Costco plan, it wasn't worth the hour drive to the dealer.
