Having an alarm installed and will need to use app or new fob to operate vehicle. However, I still need factory key to start the truck (keyless start). They offered an option that let's me leave it in the truck but I don't feel good about it.

Anyone know of a smaller fob I can move the chip or whatever into that runs my key? I don't mind carrying around two fobs, but the OEM key is huge. I keep the hard key from inside on my keychain and won't need any buttons from the remote. Looking for ideas to swap the chip into something so it's less bulky carrying around.

Anyone have ideas? Is there a reason this wouldn't work?

Someone around here was prototyping a smaller case for the fobs. Not sure if he ever finished it or not. I'll see if I can find the thread.
