button lighting
Got a weird question here, hoping someone can help. I've tried the search, looked through owners manuals ... and I can't seem to find an answer.
2018 F-150 Platinum here. My question refers to the lights that reside behind all the buttons on the dash. What controls when they turn on?
On the GMC I owned prior to this vehicle, everything on the dash was lite up all the time regardless of whether your headlights were on or not. I was rather nice on those gloomy, rainy or darker days. On my Ford I can't figure out how to turn these lights on. During the daytime they are off. And at night they come on with the automatic headlamps and the Sync switches to night time mode. I know how to control the brightness. But during the day time, they will not come on. Even if you have your light on during the day and the Sync is switched over to night mode - the button lighting will not come on. It seems the button lights only come on when the truck "thinks" that it is night time. So on the dark, rainy, gloomy days, the buttons are hard to see.
Any help? Thanks.
