Default Button antenna?

No shark fin, no satellite radio, no Fordpass Connect, no factory remote start.
What is the button antenna on the roof for?

I’m like 99% sure it’s for the satellite radio. On 09-14 f150s that black puck was the SiriusXM antenna. I’m sure it hasn’t changed for the newer models. I’d go to a dealership and see why it’s not showing up/working on your head unit.

Satellite radio was not on my sticker, nor in my dash. Yes, it looks like the sat antenna on my 2008 Explorer. Maybe Ford stamps a hole in all F150 roofs and it’s just a filler using the satellite antenna cap? Have to remember to ask the dealer next time I’m there.

It did change.....read a few of the Sirius threads. Sometime around 2018 or 2019 Ford produced two different hockey puck antennas. One was the Sirius radio antenna, and one was only emergency gps/radio. On my 2019 STX without factory Sirius, I had to change out this antenna. Rumor has it ford got wise to customers buying APIM's and getting factory Sirius without paying Ford for it. That's just speculation, but its a known fact that there are TWO different late model antenna's based upon what features your truck was built with.

Post #206 is where I go into a bit of detail along with the proper part number for the Sirius antenna.
