Default Bumps

Just curious, not a real problem.
I have a XLT with a real **** for the volume control.
I also have to drive on some really bumpy roads.
Even driving slow sometimes I'll hit a pothole.
I usually keep the radio turned down to zero.
These bumps evidently make the volume control rotate, so that occasionally I'll have to turn the volume back down.

Has anyone else had this happen? I'm not concerned about it, but as I said curious.

That hasn't happened, but in my old '69 F100, I hit a pothole a little too hard, and the volume **** from the AM radio broke off. Darn bakelite.
