Default Bubbling gauge faces

Has anybody else had this issue?

The surface of the gauges in my truck is starting to bubble, most likely from the heat here in Las Vegas.

I imagine i'd need to swap the cluster to fix this, which I probably won't do.

Damn. That is really bad! I see from your mileage your out of warranty as well. I've never heard or seen this.

I live in an equally hot place and don't have that. Surprising.

It's pretty hot in Texas and my truck is never garaged... haven't had that issue. Do you have good IR/UV rejecting window tint installed?

That's terrible, I'm here in Tucson and now I'll have to keep an eye out for that. Sorta looks like the film on new phones or laptops screens is coming off. That's on the inside of the plastic?

It almost looks like that clear film that comes on new electronics.

I wonder if you can take it apart and see if there's a layer you can peel off?

You should be able to find a decent amount of XLT gauges for sale on the site from those upgrading to the Lariat + cluster.

Only time I've seen something like this was when a full service car wash place sprayed cleaner on a screen and the heat the next day caused it to bubble up.

That's definitely a bad print job or defective ink on the cluster applique, not normal. I doubt you could get a new applique without buying the entire cluster assembly. Maybe ebay would have an aftermarket replacement of some sort.
