Default broken driver's mirror

So, I broke the mirror in my driver's side rearview. Only the glass is broken. Simple question, can the dealer replace just the mirror glass or does the whole mirror assembly have to be replaced. Anyone replaced the mirror glass themselves?

Thanks for any help

Ouch. Good luck. Hope it's an easy, and inexpensive fix.

Yes just the glass is replaceable, had last 2013 model replaced less than $20, for the glass, only.

I ordered the replacement glass through TASCA Ford (vendor on this forum, THANKS for the quick service!!). $89 for new glass (BLISS/dimming/heated) shipped to my house. Took 5 min to install. Had to reach behind the glass, and pull 8 clips (small red circles) to release old glass. After that , detach the two harnesses, reconnect to new glass and replace. Easy!!

Hi,

Thanks for the info.

I am finding those clips very tough to pull open. I am scared of breaking them. IS there a technique or trick to this?

Thanks,

ft.
