that's just how I park in the garage. I guess i could back up into the garage and test if the same thing happens driving forward at a decline.

Breaks squeak on my truck as I apply a light pressure to the brake peddle as I am controlling its speed rolling back out of the driveway. Never squeaks any other time and I have good control as I push on the brake peddle. Still have plenty of pad left. Service writer said when under warranty no problem, his truck did the same it just a little rust collecting on the edge of the brake pads

Question, I am assuming your vehicle engine is running at an idle RPM as your back up? There is a device on your vehicle that creates vacuum when under load and boost is being generated.

Thanks for responding. Correct I am backing out at idle speed, I shift to reverse and maybe tap a little gas to get going. I think it's possible that the issue is the vacuum brake pump/booster.

The vacuum boost normally only comes into effect when the turbos are assisting by boosting the intake from vacuum to pressure as the computer is calling for extra power. Boost would not be a normal thing when backing out of the driveway. Normal engine idle RPM's should provide enough vacuum unless you have a vacuum leak or an defective power brake unit. If the power brake units works OK going forward its probably OK backing up too.

Running out of ideas, not to be insulting in any way, hopeful this next thought may be an easy fix.

How about your foot is touching the gas peddle while on the brake peddle, maybe the adjustable peddle height is set too low. Also if using one foot on the accelerator and the other on the brake peddle, the right foot's winning the race.

Good Luck just some thoughts

Are they stock OEM pads?

How many miles on the pads?

Is this recent or happening for a while and you finally posted a comment?

When was the last time your brake fluid was changed?

Have you had any brake work done?

All these can effect the braking of a car.....

I have backed out on incline with many track cars and brakes which when cold will not stop unless you stand on the pedal. So... if they are stock brakes, there is something going on but if there was changes, we need to start there. I have never had a pressure issue with the brakes when idle in reverse with any care I have ever owned.

According to the dealership the brake booster SENSOR is malfunctioning, they're replacing the sensor.
