Default Brake Pressure Sensor

I'm getting a brake pressure sensor warning message (Code P0555). Anyone familiar with this message? Anyone familiar with this fix? Is this something a mediocre mechanically inclined person can do? Anything to watch out for doing it? There is not a lot of info online about this that I've been able to find.

How about some vehicle information.

Is your vehicle subject to the brake booster recall?

P0555 Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit

Description

This DTC sets if the information in the brake booster vacuum sensor message is outside of the programmed set of parameters. This is most likely due to vacuum sensor concerns, wiring harness concerns or vehicle communication concerns.

Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS module self-test.

Possible Causes:

  • any ABS module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
You need to check the ABS module for DTCs and perform a self-test. You need FORScan or an upscale diagnostic tool to do this. A cheap generic code reader will not read the Ford specific ABS DTCs nor be able to run the self-test.

20S31 is the master cylinder recall number for my truck.

An Internet search yields the following:
Summary
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2014-2017 F-150 pickup trucks equipped with 3.5L Ecoboost engines. The brake master cylinder may leak brake into the brake booster.

Remedy

Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake master cylinder and inspect the bake booster, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. This recall is expected to begin June 29, 2020. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 20S31.

Most people put it in the signature spot so that it shows up for every post.

I have loaded my VIN into the website and it doesn't look like the recall applies to me.
