Default Brake pad question

2017 XLT 2.7 SC 2X4 28,500 miles

Had my tires rotated this morning and noticed that the front and rear pads seemed kinda thin. The truck only has 28,500 miles on it.

Are the factory pads somewhat thin to begin with?

Looks like only 20% on rear left and 30% on front.

Normal, ish.

It's talked about commonly. most common is an experience with rear pads thin before front pads.

4 wheel disc, rear pads normally wear quicker than the front unlike the rear drum, front disc style. As of wearing quick, so hard to determine as it changes with every driving style.

How many millimeters is "a little thin"? If they are significantly worn, replace them now before they get really bad and damage the rotors. It's a 30 minute job now.
