Brake Error Message
Heads up.....I just bought a 2019 F150 Platinum with 3.5 Eco.
2 weeks ago I was cruising down the interstate on Cruise control. All of sudden alarms are going off. Dash instrument cluster is blinking " Brake failure" pump brakes!
As I attempted to brake, the Pedal was rock hard w/ no breaking force. I stepped on it HARD 2-3 times and braking force came back. It happened twice on that trip, both times at interstate speeds on cruise control.
I took it to my dealer on Monday, they said, they couldnt get me in for another week. really?? I have a brake problem and your going to delay me a week to get into shop?? --Not happy w/ that response.
So I drove it around town for a week with no issues.
The following Monday at 7:30am I took it in for my appt. with 800 miles on odometer. On Wednesday Dealer had no clue what was wrong. could not duplicate, but saw codes in computer. They called Ford. No help here. only suggested it could "maybe" be Brake booster. So, my dealer replaced.brake booster.. I picked it up last thursday night and did not drive all weekend. I have not had it out on road w/ cruise, so, dont know if problem is really resolved.
Anyone else experience this situation?
