I installed the OEM brake controller myself and the dealer flashed it today. It always lit up when the truck started and then would turn off. I see no evidence of anything different. Nothing happens when you engage the controller. Is there a way to know if it will work? I'm picking up a new camping trailer in a month and I don't want to find out then that it doesn't work. Thanks!

 

So when you start the truck, then squeeze the levers together, you see no dash message?

 

No, nothing...

 

Iinstalled mine myself and used forscan myself. When I squeeze mine it says no trailer conected. Same if I play with the + - gain buttons. With trailer conected works great.

 

The dealer didn't activate it.
