I need a vacuum bleeder to do the brakes on my daughters car and am having the same problem. No matter the brand or price, the reviews are very inconsistent...

I use a mityvac, works as it should. After I get clear fluids from all corners in correct order, I honestly finish job old school, someone inside press and hold, release still works for me. I never have air when I do this.

I use one of these guys

It works great for brakes and fluid extraction. Works really well for the front diff. Good price too.

Just ordered a Motive. Seems to be the favorite. Simple device, not a lot to fail unlike some of the Mityvac varieties.

That's the same one I have, I just buy the adapters to fit all my different vehicle brands. Now that I have a bi directional scan tool, not sure I will even need it anymore?

Another Motive Power Bleeder user. Mine is about 20 years old and did have to replace the flex line due to splitting.

You need the 1107 adapter if you have the tri-wing quarter turn style reservoir, 1100 if you have the full threaded reservoir. Just dealt with this myself, the Motive site lists the 1107 for all F150s which is incorrect.
