Love it...great ideas and nice work! The etrack/box link system was a great idea from ford. As you have shown it opens an endless world of possibilities

I have E track stuff in mine. They do have some play from side to side, but it's all metal connection and not going anywhere!

I am happy with it and the E track opens up lots of options.

Where do you find these E-Track accessories? Everything my searches have found are straps, lumber brackets, and d-rings.

Excellent project. I currently have some pieces of 80/20 10 series 1 inch extruded aluminum that I plan to use for a similar project. I want to make a wooden toolbox that I can attach to the t-track that can slide along the length of the bed. I plan to keep it next to the tailgate most of the time for storage for tools/groceries and such and then it can slide along the rails to the front of the bed when I need to carry bulky or tall items in the bed.

Old thread.
nicely done. What's with the fender washers between the bed wall and the boxlink base plates?
I got tired of a loose bin in the bed and added two pivoting storage boxes, off brand via eBay, same as the Ford ones, but I had to source proper fasteners for them ;(
Their forward latching plate is stacked on the boxlink plates. They manage to swing latched barely with the box link cleats in place. I had to remove the bottom corner tie downs, though.
So a nifty project using both box links on a side is out for me, otherwise I'd have no shame copying you!

And, yes, the E-track fittings do rattle around mounted on the E-track when not under some tension. I mounted E-track in two cargo trailers and have several of the options. I custom cut two 2x4" to use in the lumber holders in the truck. I did the same in the trailers and use them all the time if I don't have the trailer packed full or to hold back stacked items. Only E-track items that add use over the boxlink cleats and standard ratchet straps are the lumber holders and maybe the spare tire holder. I don't know where that one poster found those wire basket holders.
