I bought a BoxLink Cleat System and 4 BoxLink Plates to mount the BoxLink System on my 2017 F150 XL. I found that the mounting holes for the plates on the bed were not threaded and I had to tap them out myself.

Does Ford not thread the holes in the bed for the plates if the BoxLink System is not factory installed?

 

I purchased and installed a take-off set from my dealer on my 17 XL with no issues. Although I used bolts sourced from Napa as the original hardware wasn't included.

 

I bought my boxlink interface plates off ebay and the bolts are self tapping and cut their own threads....50$ vs the $300 the stealership wanted for them lol
I had them shipped to a p.o. box across the border and installed them in the ups store parking lot in less than 15 min
