Default Boxlink mounting plates

So I had a 2016 Crew Cab and now have a 2018. My 2018 has a Bullet spray in bed liner. The spaces wirh the rivnut inserts are in place. I have the boxlink cleats from my 2016 available. Is there a source for the mounting plates so that I can mount the Boxlinks? Or, for some reason, do the 2016 not fit the 2018? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Pretty sure the 16 plates will fit the 18. Local Ford dealership or scAmazon. I bought mine from scAmazon. No issues with the plates. I did end up having to replace the bolts though as the cheap bolts that were included began to quickly rust.

Thanks artsr2002, I appreciate the response. I just found them on Amazon and ordered. I appreciate the info on the mounting bolts and will look for some better quality ones once I get the mounting plates.

The Ford bolts are self-threading and form the thread as you install them the first time. It takes a fair amount of torque.

When I installed mine, I used my Makita impact driver to drive the bolts about 95% of the way in and then hand torqued them down so as not to strip the holes from too much torque of the impact driver. The cheapo bolts that were included with my scAmazon plates had rusty heads on them and I replaced them with tamper proof bolts later on. No issues since.

This is probably a dumb question, but is there a chance of ever ratcheting things too tight and pulling a plate off? I tend to haul street and dirt bikes mainly, and always think about that. I want to strap them in tight enough so they dont move, obviously, but then Im afraid I'll pull something out or rip the bed apart!

I mounted the plates and box links last night. Things went very well and no stripped bolts or anything. I the kit had a spare bolt, so I am going to run by Fastenal this weekend and try to get some better bolts. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and advice.

It's a legitimate concern, and of course there's probably a possibility of damage if you really overdo it, but I doubt you'll do any damage with normal straps and reasonable effort. Boxlink and the standard tie-down points are designed to be used with ratchet straps. Apparently they have a capacity of 275 pounds across the box and 600 pounds diagonally.

Ok, thank you. I had thought about that again two weeks ago when I brought my brand new KLX home and was ratcheting on the tie down points.
