Default Box Link System

I have the box link on my King Ranch and don't quite understand it multiple purposes.
It has a key lock but I have a key fob... I do have a spare actual smaller spare key I was given. Could that be what is used to unlock it?
Also, Why would I lock or unlock it? For what uses? Don't need the ramps.
Only thing I do put in the back is my mountain bike. That would be great to lock up but how?

Yes the key is to lock them in place so no one else will steal them.
They will offer different links for different things.
The ones you received with the truck are just tie down links.

Are you referring to the box link tie down clamps? In mine, they came in a box and there were two keys that came with it to lock them in place. I think they are just there so nobody can just take the whole box clamp with whatever you have tied down to it. As far as the mountain bike goes, I guess you could rig it up to the clamp and put a bike chain on it through the tie down clamp to secure it?

All of the E-Track clamps and tie downs work on the Box Link system

The first accessories I purchased (for the truck that has yet to arrive), have been E-Track accessories. A couple o-ring, and rope tie-off adaptors will be added to the few ratcheting straps I always carry.

When I saw the key lock, I wondered how I could use that to secure my mountain bike so it won't get stolen. Now I realize it's so the attachment doesn't get stolen.
Thanks.

The E Track accessories are endless, just google a trailer supply store and browse through all the stuff that will fit the E Track system. I'm surprised it took this long to put that in a truck.
