Default BOV!

Just installed the turbosmart BOV. It's so loud! Big improvement over stock.

I agree with the others, I like it quiet, unless I am getting some power out of it, than it's sort of ok.

Do BOVs increase performance, from what I remember no correct? You just get more noise out of the turbo.

It mostly increases throttle response.

For a stock truck, no it doesn't increase power or performance, it's just for sound. On automatic vehicles you won't loose boost while the truck shifts as you would with a manual, however when you let off the throttle it will give you a nice whoosh noise. I HAD to change the stock diverter valve in my vw to a bov because I put a bigger turbo and I'm currently running 27psi of boost and the diverter couldn't release the boost pressure fast enough without "turbo flutter or compressor surge"
i cant say I wouldn't throw a bov on an EcoBoost if I had one though lol. I love the sound of my bov and under normal circumstances driving normally you won't even hear it, you only hear it if you are under boost and let off the throttle.
As for throttle response, unless it was a synchronic bov I'm not sure that it would make a noticeable difference.
