So after getting the 5 star tune installed my annoying bottom end tick has vanished. Ran it for a few days to see if it was just a glitch, nothing. So returned the stock program and it came right back. So this is definitely a software fixable issue. As for the off throttle rattle, I'm still waiting on Ford to get off their butts and give us a fix. This is on a 2018 5.0 XLT.

 

What tune did you get. How does the transmission shift now?

 

I have the 5 star 93 perf. The trans shifts great. No more skipping gears. It goes thru each and every one. If you beat on it, the shifts can be pretty snappy.
