Default Bluetooth Audio Shutting Off (Android/Sync3)

The last couple days I've had Bluetooth issues where the audio would shut down while listening to Spotify. It shuts off the truck speakers randomly and the phone speaker picks up. The weird thing is that I can still pretty much control the track skipping and turning the app on and off with the truck. I've reinstalled the Spotify app and re-paired my phone. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not sure what else to try other than a Sync master reset. I don't have Sync's automatic updates turned on, and Motorola never updates anything anyway. I don't know what might have changed unless it's a Spotify update issue. I've switched over to Pandora and had trouble with that too, but it started working and has been reliable since I got it working.

2018 XLT / Sync3 3.0 / Motorola G5 Plus

Thanks,

Matt

Have you tried restarting your phone? That always seems to work for me whenever I have a bluetooth issue.

Yes... tried that. Happening with Pandora also. Probably reset Sync today, then reset the phone if that doesn't help. Then go to a different phone. Thanks.

Go into the regular Bluetooth settings (settings, connections, Bluetooth) and select the 3 dots on the upper right of the screen. Select "Dual audio" from that one and turn it on. This has made my Spotify a lot more reliable.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

Don't have those particular settings. I've got both options checked (phone audio & media audio), under my F150 Bluetooth connection (thinking there the same as your "dual audio" setting). Thanks.

You tried this from the phone end? Mine is Samsung so might not be in your phone.

I've had this issue the last couple days with Spotify on various speakers not just my truck. It started yesterday and happened with the Bluetooth speaker in my office, our google home, and my truck. I think its more of a Spotify issue than a Sync issue.

Yes, my phone settings. The Moto G5 Plus is pretty much stock Android 7, and doesn't come with a lot of enhancements like Samsung, etc.

Thanks.
