Can the computer be upgraded on a 2016 so that it doesn't sense the trailer and turn the blind spot off

 

So you want the BLIS to stay on with the trailer? Therefore, the trailer will constantly set it off?

 

no the commercial says 2018 the blind spot indicator knows the trailers there and works as a regular blind spot on the 16 when you hook a trailer up it shuts the blind spot off because the trailer will set it off I want to know is there an upgrade on a computer that would make the 16 work like the 18

 

Ahhh, you want to convert "BLIS" to "BLIS w/Trailer Tow Coverage." I doubt you will be able to retrofit that because you have to set the trailer length in the computer. I doubt that the 16 truck has the module that will accept that.
