I have a 2016 Lariart with the Sync 3 and the latest version of their software which I believe is 2.3. Here is my question has anyone experienced the screen just going blank, but the radio still works or better yet putting the truck in park and having the back up camera come on and stay on while it is in park. Took it over to the dealer and the first question they asked is how many times has it done this? Well my response was only once and of course the famous words from Ford is well unless we can duplicate the problem we will never even know where to start. I showed them the issue and what it was doing, but not having a lot of luck with my local Ford dealer. Going to try and attach a video and show you what it is doing. I had something very similar to what you are experiencing. And the dealer tried a few things and could not diagnose it properly until I took it there when it was exhibiting the issues. I am not sure what they replaced, but they had to order the module/harness and when replaced, it fixed it. Try and take it there when it is malfunctioning. I had to drive around a bit and back up several times, then left it running for them to witness it for themselves.

 

Interesting. I have had times where the 360* camera would not work unless it was in reverse. After restarting the truck then it would work. Almost as if the module is not getting the signal from the dash switch.

 

I can definitely understand your thoughts and when it first started I took it over to the dealer and showed them that with my truck in park the backup camera was on and then when I put it in drive and moved passed about 5 mph it becasue a blank screen, but then when you turn it off all was good with the truck. I have an appointment on the 4th of Jan, so will take it over again and this time I have a video of it, so hopefully it will help them figure it out. Good thing is that I still have a 14 months left on the original warranty and mileage is not an issue, since I just turned 11k on my truck.
