I have some Obama/Biden 08 bumper stickers that would go great with the smoked lights.

I had my 2010 Tuxedo Black F150 Tail lights & headlights done by a local auto body guy. I can't remember the name of the paint, but the way it works is like a candy type paint....the more coats you put on it, the darker it looks so you can control how dark you make the lenses. It's actually made to go on light lenses, kinda cool how it works....it allows the light from the inside of the lenses to shine through bright, but looks black as hell when viewed from the outside & the lights not on. I had 2 sets of lights, one stock & one blacked out. When the cops gave me trouble I'd swap out the lights for a couple weeks, then go back....I just got tired of getting pulled over. But it does look sweet.

I'm not trying to be a d-bag, I am really curious why people want to do this. Is it just looks? I can understand that as I am thinking about painting the reflection housing in mine black, but to cover up the actual light output confuses me.
what else would it possibly be for than looks?

Don't let people get to you when you post any pictures of anything.

Just remember some people just aren't happy in their own life and just like to be an ***.

I personally like the look but wouldn't give up the performance of the lights for them and taking off the smoked glass everynight would get old for an old timer like myself

Your truck looks good!

Not my cup of tea or anything that I would do, but it's your truck, not mine. Do whatever makes you happy.

Nice looking truck! I've always liked the appearance of smoked lenses. It's always a trade off of aesthetics vs. functionality. I got a light smoke on my tails and left the "C Clamps" white. Trust me, they are still bright enough.
