Default Bilstein 5160 installed!!

I installed the 5160's today. Took a short drive over known bad roads. Much improved.
More firm but not harsh in any way!
What I mean by that is the rebound is so much quicker and controlled. Drive on a road with a known dip, like at the bottom of a hill and it just stays planted. I can't wait to do the fronts. Of course it will be with new tires too; so a little harder to do an apples comparison. I'm really impressed.

Nice and shiny, they look nice on there. Did you spray them down real good with some clear? Mine got salt on them only three times, and they looked like crap until I cleaned them up with sandpaper today, and cleared them. Just a headsup.

Wow, those are some sexy 5160s. You’re making me want to upgrade my 5100s.

Get yourself some new tires now! Those things are bald...

Trust me, I've been contemplating sending my 5100's back (still in the boxes) and getting some 6112's. I would've just got them to begin with but they were out of stock. If I'd known it would take this long to get my spacers, I would've waited

On second thought, they're back ordered until late June...not waiting. The 5100's will be a huge improvement over the stock POS.

Default Agreed but install questions…..

Just installed the same 5160’s to the back of my 2018 - do you have any play in the top of the shock? I’ve torqued it down to the recommended 66ft but still have a mm or 2 of side to side play ??? Thanks

I have zero play in mine. I installed them with the truck on the ground and torqued them with the truck on the ground.
