Has anyone done the 2.1 setting with a 2.5" block in the rear WITH factory wheels/rubber? Wouldn't mind seeing how this looks. Like everyone I can't decide between the 1.75 or 2.1 for my 18 4x4 5.0 screw.

Don't really tow at all but during winter months often have a sled in the bed. ~600-650lbs.

Thoughts?

Look at my photo albums an you'll find pics, but I used a 3 inch block. I like that it keeps the rake and shows off the rear Bilsteins.

I know this thread is a little old, but hopefully someone can snswer my question. Does the lifting in the front cause any issues with your tie rods for steering or your upper control arms. I have a friend with 2.5 inch spacer on his Dodge Ram and the tie rods and upper control arms are at pretty bad angles and everytime he goes over a speed bump, theres a loud thump. Im really interested in the Bilstein leveling shocks for my 2017 2wd F150.

On 2 previous trucks I had spacer type leveling kits and on one I would have random thumps and the other I wouldn't, but they both didn't ride as well as they did before the spacer. I have the Bilstein 5100s on my 17 SCREW and I don't get any thumps, bumps, etc and I feel that body roll has been lessened and the ride has improved over factory.

Thank you. That makes me feel better as bout the shocks. Just couple more things, do you get any bump steer or anything? Does it turn as well as it did before the shocks and did you have to upgrade your upper control arms? Thank you.

I don’t know about the tie rods, but my truck had alignment issues after installing 5100s. Mine were set at a 1 3/4” lift. Maybe I just got bad alignments, but there was an excessive toe-out issue. Also, after 20,000 miles the Bilsteins seemed more like the OEM shocks’ mushiness. I have since change trucks, but won’tbe Buying any more Bilstein 5100s.
