Default Bilstein 5100 Backorder

Anyone have a reliable date on when the 5100s for the 2018s will be rolling out of the factory?

Looking to do a 1.5-1.75" lift up front on my new F150 and I know there are other options out there but I'm a fan of Bilsteins and for what you pay I think its a pretty good value. I'd like to get it done sooner than later, hopefully won't be waiting 6+ months.

Best regards,
M

I just ordred from stage 3 yesterday. Both the Bilstein 5100 and the Eibachs are backordered for likely 2 months.

I upgraded and bought the Bilstein 6112 (or whatever the next version up is numbered)

I spoke directly with the Bilstein factory people a month ago and they had NO CLUE when they might be available for shipping to distrubutors in North America. They also seemed like they could NOT CARE less that they are back ordered....

Are the 6112’s adjustable like the 5100’s?

The lady I spoke to a month or so ago at Bilstein told me that these parts were scheduled for a production run toward the end of February in the Ohio plant.

Thats disappointing to hear. I'd like to step up to the 6112s but the kit is close to 700$. If it were closer to 450-500 I could justify it and just do 5100s in the back since they're still available.

The eibachs are out too? So the only thing in that price range thats comparable are Ranchos or Procomps (aren't they made by ranchos?).

Best regards,
Michal

I have been waiting for almost 3 months now. I ordered and received a pair in early October. When I went to install them a few weeks later, I noticed that one of them was missing the additional parts that are needed. I was told to send it back to get another one and by the time they received it there were none anywhere. To make matters worse, I received the additional parts from Bilstein several weeks later. Now I am sitting with just one front 5100 for several months and every day that goes by makes me more pissed.

Well, I didn't really want to bump up to $900 for all 4 either. But, my choice was "do nothing" or pay more.

The guy at stage 3 that helped me said the Bilsteins with the coil have different valving, larger tubes and definitely improve ride quality.

so -- I jumped.

Honestly, I was a little worried that if I didn't - the 6112's would be backordered too.
