Best Tonneau Cover??
#21
I have the Undercover FLEX on my 2015, its just over 2 years old and all the seals and screws are coming apart, not to mention the corrosion building up on the inner locking mechanisms. I called Undercover and they just sent me an entire box of seals and screws.... seems like they send these out regularly... Never again will i buy Undercover, they dont last.
Im thinking of the Bakflip MX4 for my 2018.... to any who have had their Back flip for a few years, how has it held up?
I may go to a hard painted hinged cover.... they last much longer

I've had the BakFlip Revolver X2 on mine for a year now and love it so far. I like it way better than my previous G2 model because it doesn't completely block your rear window when it is open, and even though it looks like a soft cover it has alum slats in it so it doesn't flap in the wind while closed. Also sits nice and flush like the G2

Extang Solid Fold 2.0
I bought one from a buddy. And while It looks good, and fits nicely, the design is flawed at the hinges as water gets in which allows it to seep in at the edges. I actually just modified it by cutting some holes in what is supposed to be the rubber seals. This allows the water to drain slightly beyond the weather stripping and not pour into the bed.
That being said, I am not an engineer and I shouldn't have to be re-engineering it
At this point, it isn't leaking so I'm mostly happy, just wouldn't buy a new one unless it's been slightly redesigned

BakFlip, 2 and 1/2 years now and has been perfect. Tailgate opens and closes while cover is on, no issues. Easy on easy off also for I just moved it over to my 2018 from my ole 2015 F150. Also doesn't interfere with my swing storage.

But such a true statement, I have been looking now for a few weeks trying to decided. Cap, folding, rolling, hard. All have advantages and disadvantages. Really comes down to what you think is going to be less of a PITA then the others.
Finally ordered and Bakflip F1.

What's your budget?
Even if you're still open to all of the available styles, it would help a lot to know your budget, since the price for a cover can range from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars and change.
Personally, I have no use for the folding or solid covers no matter how good their quality is. I want the full use of my cargo bed, my rear window always unobstructed, and I want to be able to fully open or close the cover by myself in a few minutes or less. I've had the Truxedo Lo-Pro on my last 3 trucks because it meets all of my needs without hurting the wallet too much.

For me, the Revolver 2 checks all the boxes.

Yeah, what's the budget? What do you use your truck for?
Security a concern? In'n out 5 times a day? Ease of use a concern? Don't mind spending $2k? Nothing beets a Truck Cover USA, I'm on my second one. But rules out dirtbikes.
Tri folds are the all-arounders and you can get quality for under $1k.
Soft covers are great a catching rain and give you out of sight, out of mind security.
One-Piece covers, you don't want one. If you did, that's all you'd want you wouldn't even consider other styles.
Yes I sell tonneaus at my shop.

Are there any trifold covers that do not require drilling?
