Best Setup for Towing with a Leveling Kit?

Default Best Setup for Towing with a Leveling Kit?

Looking for some advice on if I should go with a higher rear block for the back end of my truck, or spend the coin on some firestone airbags. I tow a 4 place enclosed trailer about 8-10 times a year (5500lbs) loaded up with gear and snowmobiles. Truck has some serious squat now (mostly do to not having any factory rake). Or should I be considering having my fox shocks turned back to stock or closer to it to gain some factory rake? Truck is a 17 F150 Supercab with the 6.5 bed. 3.55 rear end, 4WD, 2 in fox leveling kit all the way around.

Any info would be appreciated greatly!!

If you like the leveled look I’d say go bags. I’ve seen others complain of the ride quality when the truck is unloaded though, so you’d have to play with the airbag psi so the rear end all gets along smoothly when not towing. Then you could pump up to tow.
Depending on your tongue weight, she may squat even with factory rake added back.

I've elected not to level/ lift my truck since there's so much conflicting information out there about towing capacity when you start to dork around with suspension.

I dunno what leveling or lifting would do for me functionality wise anyway...

I guess some people think it looks better. Frankly, I think my truck looks just fine.

I agree bags would be good. You can also look into the Roadmaster Active Suspension set up. I think it's a fairly straightforward installation and you can put on and off if need be. Although it's only a 5500lb load, using a good WDH would help some as well.

Yeah, only thing with trying to add a WDH is my tounge on this all aluminum trailer is pretty short as is. I'd have to get a pole adapter to properly use a WDH... but may be an option. I'll have to play with the setup with all 4 sleds in it.
