Oh, yeah, that's happening shortly. As you can see, I started peeling off the sticker but they're individual stickers (which is idiotic) so I stopped out of sheer laziness. Want a new IU or OEF license plate frame, just haven't decided on one yet.

Hmm, never really considered a plate frame before, they're usually dealers, so run without, not sure if i'd like a plain frame or not, never looked what's out there besides educational/dealer/sports team options.

Can just get a plain color or if you’re cheap like me I’ve just turn the dealer one around it’s plain black on the back side and it looks fine. There’s a crap load on Amazon though.

I like having either a veteran plate or an operation enduring freedom license plate frame because I've gotten out of 8 tickets lol. Cop walks up, asks my MOS or where I work, says slow down, walks away from vehicle lol.

I have no plate frame on my truck, and it looks fine. On our Jetta, the plate mount holds the plate about a half inch off the surface of the trunk, so no frame looked really odd. Made the plate look like it was floating. I bought a cheap set off Amazon and they are surprisingly good quality for the price.

For those that upgrade their SYNC3 to the latest versions (3.4.xxxxx) via Cyanlabs software upgrading program, a new USB hub to eliminate the "USB hubs not supported please remove" message when you first start your truck.

Part number HC3Z-19A387-E for the updated hub. This is also the hub needed for Apple CarPlay from what I've read (I use Android Auto so can't verify). Searching can score you one for $48 which fits with this thread.

What is different from this module (HC3Z-19A387-E) and HC3Z-19A387-B? I know CarPlay works with the later.

Unknown if just a number change or actual hardware change. If you aren't getting the "USB hub not supported" message and you've installed the latest version of SYNC3 (currently 3.4.20282), then you're fine.

There is no noticeable difference between these two part numbers. I was going to buy the HC3Z-19A387-B as the CarPlay upgrade for my truck. By the time I actually ordered it, the part number had updated to the "-E". It looks and works exactly like the "-B" part. The number change could be nothing more than the maker of the hub changing their part number. Ford uses just about any excuse to revise a part number. That is one of the reasons a Ford parts person has to have a computer terminal handy.

I remember when all that information came out on Microfiche films. If you are younger, you'll probably have to google that to know what I'm talking about.
