They are really nice, however they are totally water proof but once you put them in the are hard to take out. I think you actually have more storage due to the way you constructed them. These lose some storage ability because the drawers are not squared off. They are strong though.

When I started to plan my bed I googled "pics of rear truck beds for storage". Looked at all the pics to get the best ideas out of what I saw. It may give you a few more ideas

canvas topper? not familiar with it.

Awesome work! It will probably look near stock when you get the line-x coating on it.

I would like to hear more on that topper too - I have a Revolver X2 (and I love it) but could see this kind of topper being useful for certain occasions....assuming it can collapse/store nicely.

softopper.com they are canvas. They make few different options. I got a screen or back window for my dogs and camping. They are HIGH QUALITY very nice product. Fairly in expensive.
