Default Bed lights

I tried the search function, and maybe Im not using the right search terms, but anyway, does anyone know if the bed is prewired for the lights towards the tailgate on some models. Mine does not have them, but hey, if the wire is in there somewhere I might just fish it out and add them. They could come in handy. Thanks for the help!!

I don't know first hand, but I'm going to assume no. There's so many different wiring harnesses for these trucks I can't imagine there's a wire just hanging back there.

The bed light kit comes with the two lights, the in-bed switch, and a new tail light harness with connectors for the lights and switch.

If your truck is an XLT or better, it should be good to go after enabling with forscan or at the dealer.

If it's an XL, you have to run a single wire from a harness under the hood to the back of your headlight switch. Here is my thread on that: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/led-b...arning-391277/
