Can anyone tell me how sturdy the folding bed extender is? I have a 2016 on order. The metal Bed Extender on my 2005 F150 is strong enough to lean an extension ladder to without any problem. Is the folding extender as sturdy? Will it take a hit from a sliding 2x4?

 

I have leaned a ladder on mine, 2 x 12's, and more. I have the OEM extender. It works great as bed divider, and collapsing against the bed sides kicks butt.

Only issue... collapsed against the side makes it impossible to reach the cargo light button. And in position it is difficult to reach the bottom.
