Default Bed Extender

Will a bed extender from my 2013 F150 fit a 2016 F150?

Ford Accessories show different part numbers. Has anyone tried to install one?

Yes it will fit - I use mine from my 2013 on my 2016 now. Lock pin don't line up with hole in tailgate and it doesn't tuck as tight to the sides when opened as in my 2013. Attachment point for bolts and rotate/lock pin locations are the same.

Thanks for the info. Dealer wants $585 + tax but found a used one online for $250.
Helps out a lot!

One thing I forgot to mention is that the bed extender makes turning factory bed lights on/off very hard if you have a tonneau cover on because the switch will be behind bed extender. Not sure why Ford put the switch in such a ****ty place but I use the button in the cab to turn bed lights on when needed.

Great, now you tell me! I just picked it up for $200 good as new condition.

Just kidding, that won't be hard to live with.

Thanks again for your help. Just got the truck today and love it!
