Default Bed cover

Does anyone have a factory installed flip bed cover? If so does it flip up against the rear window to allow full access for a quad or no? Thanks

I don't have one, but by just the idea it goes straight up to allow full access to the bed seems sort of a bad idea. Most likely they have a hinge system near the cab to rotate on.

I have an Extang full tilt on my truck ( my last four trucks ) it has a hinge at the cab and two shocks on either side. I can have it off in three minutes or less and reinstalled just as fast. My wife can also.

When I carry stuff that needs it off I leave it at home. If I am out and need full access I roll it up.

Reading this again are you talking the triple flip ones? If so I have no idea. My brain went to the full bed cover and I could picture it straight up in the air 6 and a half feet.

I went with the Undercover Ultra Flex. Absolutely love it. Thicker aluminum than the Bakflip MX4, finished carpeted underside. No water in bed. Even after heavy rains and washes. The trick to keeping it waterproof is paying attention to how you line up and install the forward end and the included seal that goes on top of the forward bed rail. A lot of people complain about water getting in that area but I’m convinced it’s becuse they don’t install it right

Can you post a pic of it flipped open? How does it lock open?

I can later. Or google the cover. It uses 2 struts to prop it open so it doesn’t lay against the rear window area. With 2 panels open, it uses straps that buckle so it won’t accidentally get blown over and close on you.

This link will show you everything you need to know

This is the best installation video. The included instructions are terrible and incomplete.

Also folds twice and has straps to hold there. I am very happy with it. Does not leak in heavy rain, had very heavy rain yesterday. I do have a concern. Rubber on side has wrinkle. I hope it lays down. Probably from being boxed an
