Wonder if the new 3.5 with the start/stop uses a higher CCA AGM battery like the 2.7?

I don't understand Ford's logic with their battery selection. At least not in my case. As I mentioned in an earlier post I have the snow plow prep package and I have the smallest battery. I actually have a plow, and the plow draws way more power than a few extra options that a Lariat would have. Many times when it's really cold when I go to lift or angle the plow, the fan and other things will shut off for a second because I assume the voltage is too low.

The battery doesn't support your loads when the engine is running and using the snow plow, that is for the alternator. The battery main purpose is to start the vehicle and have enough reserve to start a vehicle for 30 days later when stored. For S/S vehicles, most OEM's use AGM since it can cycle lower, provide voltage at a lower capacity and is able to cycle more times than a standard wet cell battery. These are for conditions when the vehicle shuts off at a light. On snow prep packages, the vehicle limits power to other features so the alternator can adequately supply power, not lower operating voltage below 12.7v which can begin to drain a battery.

I installed the Big 800CA AGM battery not so much because of the snowplow option I have but I wanted a bigger reserve in the battery. I have additional equipment that I use that requires a little more Juice. Im also considering the 240 Amp Alternator but its just a thought.
