Default Bak Revolver X2 or X4

Need to upgrade my soft tonneau to something more secure. Got a good deal on the Bak Revolver X4 thru the forums here.

Anyone have either the Bak Revolver X2 or X4 on their trucks? Are they as nice and secure as they seem? Just looking for real-world feedback before I spend almost $900.

I have the x2. It still just secures to the rails with plastic ears or whatever.

It would keep an honest thief out.

If security is a major concern maybe try these

if you leave it rolled up in the summer for any period of time, this is what may happen. Happened to 2 of them that I had (second was a replacement of the first). Rubber seal separating from the cover.. This is an X2, not sure if the X4 is made any better

X4 is supposed to have thicker rails and stuff for increased strength and security. Not sure if the cover or materials are any better. X4 is matte black, X2 was gloss black.

Yes I like mine but I'm curious to see how it holds up to the hot summers,my lightning has a fiberglass 1 which is probably the only real tonneau that will hold up

I have the X4. Really like it, but you do need to be careful when you roll it up and back. So far I've both burned my hands and pinched my fingers between the slats. The aluminum gets very hot in the sun, and you have to make sure to roll/unroll with your hands on the felt, which runs down the left and right sides. I wish there was an additional run of felt down the middle - which I've considered adding since that's where my hands tend to go first. I suspect this summer I'll end up doing something.
