Default Bad Battery?

My 2018 Platinum is about 2 month old. It has a build date of 11/17 so assume it spent the winter on the dealers lot in cold, snowy Montana. I am trying to make some changes via Forscan however the program disconnects when it detects battery voltage below 11.5V. I drove the truck for 15 miles and put a charger on it. This allows for about 15 minutes of Forscanning - if that's a word - before the low voltage disconnect occurs. I have shut off the sound system and climate system before starting so current draw should be as low as I can get it. It sounds like a weak battery to me, but what say you?

Mine did this till I disabled BMS (battery management system) then the voltage picked up. The only way I could get it to work till I did this was to make FORSCAN adjustments when engine was running. If it starts and goes fine, I would run it till it dies.

That's exactly what was happening with my 2017 until I did the same! Now it's fine and I haven't seen that damn message for several weeks.........

Exactly! I mainly turned off BMS to get rid of that stupid A/SS system. That was just a bonus!

Thanks everyone, I started making a few changes with the engine running. No problem. I’ll do a few complex changes tomorrow.
