Default Backup camera upgrade&heating

Hi all,

I have a 2018 F150 Platinum and I live up north of Finland where we have snow on the ground half of the year...
I have noticed that the camera gets covered very quickly with snow and ice in the winter time and during summer with dirt.
Are there any aftermarket cameras with heating units integrated? Or is there any other way to protect the camera from dirt/snow. And I think the camera quality in general could be better as well...

Welcome. Never heard of a camera OEM or aftermarket that has those features. Regarding the quality, is it the OEM camera to the truck? What we have seen is that an aftermarket camera generally does not give you full OEM functions and sometimes, a sacrifice in quality.

There are aftermarket universal camera washers available. It would up to you how to make it as unobtrusive as you needed it. Unfortunately when it comes to cameras I don't feel like anything works as well as physically wiping off the lens.

The camera quality is more a function of the display's resolution. It's geared more towards being an interface not a monitor. There are many options for standalone systems though. You should see the setup a friend of mine has on his offroad Jeep.....

Yeah, it gets dirty quickly. Agree that the display quality is a function of the display resolution, which wasn't selected for watching video. I don't have any problem seeing vehicles, fire hydrants or kids on it.
