Default Backup camera issue

Have a 2017 2.7 eco Lariat. Backup camera is no longer clear. Occasionally when in reverse it will black out screen with some squiggly lines?
Anyone have ideas of the cause of fixes?
Thanks

Check the connectors at the back of the truck for water intrusion and corrosion.

The only problem I had with mine is that it would, over time get cloudy (as if the lens was dusty). I think the issue was moisture getting into it. It was replaced a couple of times under warranty and once I paid myself. The OEM part isn't cheap. The last time I bought one from RockAuto for a lot less than OEM. I installed it myself. It wasn't difficult. I saw no evidence of corrosion on or around the connector. So far so good. The aftermarket is clearer and even zooms in while the OEM did not.

I’m gonna check connections first. I looked at some of the OEM ones online and they are expensive but can be found for under $200. I am just concerned before I swap camera is there a module or anything that it could be on dash screen?

OP, you need to perform a DTC scan with FORScan or a diagnostic scan tool. That might help to determine the issue. A cheap OBDII reader will not work here.
