Does anyone know if it is possible to order a backup camera on a basic 2016 XL 4x4 100a package. I am trying to build/order the most basic 4x4 package possible with a limited amount of options. A backup camera would be most helpful for these old eyes.

Dealer salesperson generally helpful but lacking in-depth knowledge on the basic trucks and not excited about ordering either. Once I have a few more answers I will probably just contact the internet salesman and get a quote....but I would like to know some real world answers if possible.

I hear it is possible if I do a fleet order but I only want one truck...and a pretty basic one at that.

According to the 2016 Model Year order guide, option 76C
Rear View Camera with Dynamic Hitch Assist (req. 85A Power Equipment Group) is fleet only on the 100A, orderable option on 101A (note: 101a inlcudes 85A).

 

TooManyVehicles nailed it, looking at the ordering guide - I also came up with the exact same conclusion. I also have a buddy that just bought two 2016 XL for his survey company, (even though they are company trucks, they were not fleet ordered), both are equipped with the 101a package & also have the backup camera option. Oddly enough, they both have the FX4 option, which is also free-standing for all trim levels. He actually didn't even order these trucks, he went to a large dealer about an hour away and they had a about 10-12 of them on the lot. I don't know what the options and/or cost difference is between the 100a & 101a, but it would be worth looking into if you haven't. Good luck with it, let us know what you end up doing.
