Hi Guys, I did a search but didn't find what I was after. I have a backup camera from a 2016, I have the handle with camera and light plus tailgate harness, I want to install this in my 15 xlt. What do I need to do to make this work, do I need more form donor truck or something else. Thanks for any and all help.

 

check the truck-side harness from the tailgate. If it only has two wires, you’re going to have a little work to do. If your truck is equipped for it, all you’ll have to do is add the new tailgate harness and use Forscan to Add the camera.

Do a search for the ultimate OEM back up camera install. That thread has all the information needed to add the camera.

 

As stated, use the ultimate backup camera install. I swapped my frame rail harness out for a lariat one. Also the led backup light in the handle on my xlt was missing a wire from inside the inside harness to the plug in the engine bay. Do a lot of reading on both and you will find everything you need.
