Default Backup cam delay timing

I have my backup cam set to delay, so when I switch from R to drive, it's supposed to stay on for a few seconds. I've had a few times now, that the rear view live picture will stay on for 30-60 seconds. This doesn't seem right.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Truck is s 2018 302A XLT 3.5 Eco. 4x4 with power Eq group.

It stays on until you exceed a certain speed forward, I believe it's 8mph, but not 100 percent sure

This is how mine works as well. I was thinking the forward speed was 11mph, but it could definitely be 8mph. As far as I can tell, it will stay on indefinitely until you reach that forward speed.
