Default Back up camera

2013 screw platinum- when i put gear shift in R the backup camera comes on immediately, however when going back to drive the camera stays on for approx 10 seconds then camera turns off. If i go from R to P it changes immediately. is there a switch sticking?

Nope. Delay that I believe is customizable in the settings. Helps me with parallel parking

You posted in the 2015+ section, so yours may be different. On my 17, there is a setting for that in the infotainment system. I think it is called backup camera delay. If it’s on, it will keep the reverse camera on, when moving forward, until you reach 5mph. You can turn it off if you don’t like it.

I wouldn’t worry about having it moved, the mods can do it if they are so inclined. Only they can move it.

Did you check the settings and and turn off the delay?
