AZ plan pricing?
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, of if the old megathread about getting a good deal talks about it (I searched extensively but with 1-2 letter things like A, Z, AZ, it just doesn't seem to help)...how do you find out what A or Z plan pricing is? I'm not ready to buy immediately (I don't think...) and exactly when I'm ready to pull the trigger will vary with just how good the plan pricing is. So I'd like to find out what the price on a truck like I think I want is. I have not asked my family member for the PIN for it yet, though I could if I need it for this step.
I have contacted three dealers and they have all told me the plan price is basically the same, or within like a $1k, of their internet advertised price. This last one (who is supposed to call me back with specifics) said that rarely has he found Z plan pricing to beat their online advertised price (which makes that 3/3 dealers now). That...that can't be right...right?

I might regret this as this is one of the few if only dealers that i have noticed this on.

I'm same boat. Shopping but not sure if should use plan pricing and the rebates that apply. Or try and negotiate to near A plan pricing and then use rebates and PCO that stack. Anyone with experience??
One thing dealers around the DC area say is oh we can beat the A plan, they’ll advertise a really low price but it’s not real. Point in case today I was looking at a lariat power stroke, advertised at 45k, price didn’t include the destination charge ($1500 approx) or the $699 dealer fee. APLAN was 43k, included the destination fee and it’s a set doc fee of $75 or $99, I can’t remember which. Also a lot of the dealers stack things that will be impossible to actually get, like retired policeman who is graduating college and has a mobility vehicle. I have also seen things like FFA and other random “rebates”. End of the day I have yet to find a dealer who can beat the aplan, I’ve purchased over 9 vehicles this way. Also A plan will generally get you a bump in credit tier rating, if you are already tier 0-1 then no biggie, but I know when I was young and starting out with little credit, that bump up helped me get better rates.
You can also see if your sponser will give you access to the myplan ford site, I have a log in that I use to request a pin, also lets me build and search inventory, gives me AZ plan pricing right through fords website. Also gives you an idea what rebates are out and if their specific to AZD plans. It’s myplan.ford.com. This way when I find the vehicle I want, I already pretty much know what the cost is and what rebates are available. Makes car buying much easier.

Things like that are worth noting for sure when looking at advertised/internet prices from dealiars, one I talked to today had Z plan come in several hundred lower than their advertised price (so he said) and mentioned that it was $75 doc fee vs several hundred normally for them...wondering what other fees would get tacked on without a plan that he didn't mention lol

Yes, the plan pricing is on the bottom of the dealer invoice. They are required to show it to you. If not they’re hiding something. You get plan pricing plus any current rebates you qualify for. If you have a trade you will have to negotiate what they will give you for it on the deal. They can not charge you for any dealer add ons unless you agree to the charges on a dealer check sheet. Also pay no doc fee it’s on you if you do. A plan pricing as a rule of thumb for my 2018 was around 5000.00 off of sticker plus the current rebates. Mine was about a 3 month search talking to dealers in which most give you the run around or do not actually know how the plan pricing works. Some would e-mail me a deal sheet that does not even reflect plan pricing. Also most will not honor their internet pricing as they say the rebates are different or blah, blah, blah. However they are dealers out there willing to help. It can be frustrating as I went through it. When you get your deal then have your sponsor to get you a pin. Make sure you have it all in writing on a deal sheet too. So good luck and I hope this helps.
