Question AVS Bug deflector problem

Anyone having any problems keeping there bug deflectors from coming off? I bought a AVS deflector only to have it come off while driving on the highway. I went back to the custom shop and they replaced it with a new one. This one lasted 2 weeks before it too started to peel off. I have not replaced it again, got a store credit for it, but l can not figure out why they won't stay on. Had the same deflector on my 2012 with no problems?? Maybe buy a Ford one??

Sounds like the shop didn't prep the adhesion area right. I'm figuring 3M tape is used which holds virtually every emblem on vehicles today.

It has happened to a few folks on here. Its also on here there AVS makes the same OEM for Ford without the logo at a cheaper r price

I think Jus Cruisin in on point. Installation prep is everything with the 3M stuff. You mess it up and it will fail.

I bought a FL3Z-16C900-A, that has been sitting in the garage for 5 week because I am hesitant to put it on due to the fact the loose clips on one side have been an issue according to several folks.

According to the thread below, Ford may have just solved that issue. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/ford-...seness-354632/ I still may not put it on- and will just sell this since its still in the box.

My wife and I installed mine about 9 months ago. No problems at all, and
I regularly travel 80mph.

Mine was coming loose after the dealership installed it (free) 3 weeks later. They installed new tape and a month later the front is loose once again. I had waxed the truck just before the initial install. I fear that the hood was never prepped prior to install. I need to revisit the dealership and see if they can get it right this time.
