Default Avoiding heat soak

I will be towing a lot this summer. The roads are steep and winding so the speed is about 20mph and 110 degrees out. After reading these forums it seems this will cause a problem with the cac. What's the best way to deal with this. Can I add a fan in front of the cac. Buy a bigger cac. Would a tow tune help at all. Thanks for the help

Charge air cooler or intercooler for the turbocharged engines. The Ford system is sized for the application in some cases oversized. after the early EB condensate problems Ford installed shutters on the 15/16 models not only to improve aerodynamics but to prevent over cooling and condensation.

For those slow speeds, high temps, and towing I would change oil more often, and run a full synthetic. Maybe switch over to something thicker than the 0 or 5.

For trans, not sure what would be best, or if it even makes sense to switch fluids?

Also, from what I learned on other vehicles, long term it's about keeping the turbos cooler e.g. exhaust heat wrap or heat shielding. Search might turn up something.
