I have about 34k miles on my 2018 and recently the light on the auto stop/start button will come on while I'm driving. It stays on for awhile, then I will notice it has gone out. My commute is about an hour (50 miles). Funny thing is, the auto stop will function even with the light on, it just goes out when the truck turns off.

Any ideas? I haven't had the time to take the truck in as the dealer is about 30 miles away.

 

Maybe just a short in the switch? If you can, switch to the center screen that tells you the actual state of auto start/stop, see if it saying anything besides normal. If it's just the switch, should be a quick swap out for the dealer.

 

Check the charging system and battery.

 

Thanks, I''m thinking it's the switch as well. No issues with the AGM battery, etc. Guess I'll bring it in one day.
